Luxury Fishing in Brazil:

 The Amazon Voyager
Amazon Voyager
Looking for a little luxury without sacrificing good fishing? If you are looking for an unforgettable sportfishing adventure, check out the Amazon Voyager. The Amazon Voyager is a six year old… but newly remodeled… 84 foot long… three tiered fishing yacht that can navigate very shallow rivers to reach the remote locations holding big Peacock Bass. Rather than operate out of a fixed based camp, the Amazon Voyager and her experienced crew and guides spend six fishing days probing the Rio Negro, Rio Maderia and their tributaries with you… in search of the most productive fishing locations.

 Luxury Berths
Spacious Bunk Beds
The owners have quickly made this the gold standard by which other Amazon-based operations are judged. This fishing yacht is owned by one of the most respected families in all of Brazil and they are lifelong sportsmen who have fished these waters for years. The staff, the crew and the guides will do all within their power to insure your maximum comfort and enjoyment.

The Amazon Voyager provides comfortable, double occupancy, air-conditioned staterooms with spacious bunk beds and private baths to accommodate up to ten anglers. The staff, desiring to insure your maximum comfort and enjoyment, will see that the food is exceptional, that your rooms and the boat are immaculately clean and well-maintained, and that your laundry is done daily.

 Amazon Voyager Dining Area
Dining Area

The second deck houses the dining area, where you will enjoy buffet-style meals. The observation deck features comfortable sofas and satellite television. You will also enjoy an open bar with national drinks and beer. Breakfast and dinner will be served aboard the Amazon Voyager in the well appointed dining room. To maximize fishing time, box lunches, along with fruit, beer, water and soft drinks, will be served on the water under a shady tree so as not to cut in to your valuable fishing time.

 Chef Prepared Meals
A Variety of Dishes
The on board chef will prepare a variety of dishes, ranging from special Brazilian dishes to the traditional American meals. Fresh baked breads are available daily. Breakfast will consist of eggs, meats and pancakes, French toast and cereals. Fruit and juices are always available.

The Peacock kids tore up your tackle, did they? We told you they would, but do not worry, there is a well stocked tackle shop on board offering the hottest baits of the day, along with the terminal tackle you will need to repair those lures and equipment.

A word about weather conditions in the Amazon:
Temperatures typical range from 75 at night to as high as 95 during the day. Anglers should be prepared to fish directly under the equatorial sun and consider long sleeve shirts and pants made of tropical weight materials. The use of sunscreen with an SPF of 25 or greater and lip balm is an absolute necessity. Wide brim hats are also advisable. Although we fish during the dry season, this is the rain forest and downpours do occur, so don’t forget to pack a lightweight rain suit.

Special Note: Upon receipt of trip deposit a detailed packing list will be provided along with our recommended Trip Cancellation Insurance application.

 Access the Best Fishing Locations.
Fish Far from the Competition.
No tributary will be out of reach, as we will utilize both standard and amphibious planes to access the best fishing locations of northern Brazil. The Amazon Voyager and crew will determine the locations on a weekly basis, based on optimal water, weather and fishing conditions. Our desire is to fish far from the competition, in waters that have not been pressured on a daily basis. Based on the experience of our captain and guides, we will seek out both main river structures and back bays and lagoons in an effort to find the most productive fishing locations.

While seeking to avoid the crowded areas with many boats and large lodges around Barcelos, the Amazon Voyager staff will take you to areas with very limited fishing pressure…where your chance of hooking up with a record size Peacock Bass is maximized. You will be fishing the areas that we have found to be most productive for Peacock Bass. At times, you will enter lagoons that we have cleared and found to hold fish. There you will be casting to fish that may never have seen an artificial plug

The Amazon Voyager will be located on a remote tributary of either the Rio Negro or the Rio Maderia where we can explore for new and untapped fishing opportunities or where we have found good fishing for your enjoyment. The guides and staff are constantly probing new rivers, lakes and lagoons that have had limited fishing pressure to discover the next great fishing adventure. You are invited to join in this exploration. Most days the boat will be moved to assure that you are fishing the best areas with the least amount of fishing pressure.

Let us take the uncertainty out of your trip plans. For your next fishin' expedition... try the Amazon Voyager.
