Jim Vescovi Report

David.... Just returned from the Lodge on 11/6/09.

We had a blast at Trophy Bass Lodge and I am sure that we would have caught twice as many fish if that hurricane had not come through.... but 100 fish a day up to 8# is not all that bad. We understand as die hard fisherman that nobody can control the weather, and we just make the best of things.  Luis learned some fishing tips from us as well. I used a lure that he was fascinated by. It was a simple white 3/8 oz. bucktail with a white painted head, and tipped with a small fin-s. We caught over 400 bass over a 4 day period.
The food was fantastic !!!  The cook was second to none. He was great !!!! The accommodations were super and the everything was done on a timely fashion. It was very organized.

Thanks again for helping to make this one of our top 3 trips that we have ever taken.

The Fall Rush of the Bull Red's is on!
Talk about a PASSION! Good friend Gary Clark has developed an affinity for the Mighty Mississippi Delta area. Of course, the Red Fish population of the near playing field around south pass plays an important part in that as does the friendship and expertise of one Captain Keith Kennedy. Clark's passion and Kennedy's dogged determination to search out the Bulls of the Marsh is quickly becoming legendary amongst Clark's angling friends and almost cultist followers. The stable of this clan is growing weekly. And why not, the fishing around south pass is spectacular and the Reds are out to play on their court this fall.

Here's todays BULL REDS report JUST IN from Gary:
Report of 10/12/09 4:07 PM:

34 the first day to 22 pounds...3 anglers."

WEEK 2 REPORT! - October 2009
At Amazon Fishing Adventures, aboard the Belle Amazon, the second week of the season continued for big fish.  A total of 1177 peacock bass were caught with 64 over 10# and 11 over 20#.  The biggest fish was 24.5 pounds.

For the second week in a row, the Woodchopper's were the best producers for the big fish.  Nine anglers were busy with this exciting peacock bass action.

WHEW! Think about this folks: In 12 days of fishing 18 anglers have averaged 310 Peacocks per angler or 26+ Peacocks per day per angler with 30 of the 20# plus Monsters  (up to 24 1/2#) in the mix!

That's HOT!
